PRESERVATION METHODS AND TECHNIQUES
Being up to date and informed about new growing methods and techniques has always been part of our philosophy. This has allowed us to grow our products in the most natural conditions so to make our plants more rustic, easy to grow and lowering the susceptibility to pathogens, thus reducing the use of chemicals. This rusticity enhances organoleptic and healthy properties of the product with a higher content of essential oils and other aromatic substances.
Besides, our main engagement and activity is a constant research for national and international novelties about new cultivars and pathogen resistant selections so to reduce and even eliminate the use of phytochemicals in order to guarantee the most healthiest products to our final consumer.
To do this, we also avail of integrated and organic defence methods such as in-field introduction of natural antagonists (useful insects and microbic agents), or using, if necessary, natural substances which are allowed by organic defence protocol – excluding synthetic products - to control insect population which are detrimental to the cultivation.
